To request a variance, fill out the HACCP/Variance application.
The application fee is $290, and the first resubmission is free. Debit cards are not accepted. Make checks and money orders payable to “ATCHD” or “Austin/Travis County Health & Human Services”.

addFill out your application, scan it, and attach it to an email to ehsd.service@austintexas.gov. An EHSD representative will contact you by phone to collect a credit card payment within two business days.
By mail
addOur office does not accept cash or cards by mail. Mail your application and a check or money order for $290 to:

Fill out your application and bring it with you to 1520 Rutherford Lane, Austin, TX 78754. Our walk-in location is on the northeast corner of Rutherford Lane at Cameron Road, Building 1 East Entrance. You’ll need to sign in at the security desk and present a government-issued photo ID.
